Christina Marie Rocks is an Arizona native and recent Arizona State University (ASU) graduate living in Seattle, Washington where she is the Field Coordinator of the Washington Bus. Christina firmly believes that higher education access is one of the most pressing issues facing her generation as it is interrelated to many other aspects of a socially just society. She works hard toward the goal of ensuring that each person has the means to be successful in her or his higher educational pursuits. During her time at ASU, Christina fought for students on the campus, state and national level through her involvement with various student organizations including her College Council, Undergraduate Student Government, and the Arizona Students’ Association. In 2008, Christina was hired by the United States Student Association as a GROW Trainer which has given her the incredible opportunity to travel to different campuses across the country and teach students about grassroots organizing and advocacy. Now a recent graduate, Christina considers herself lucky to be able to continue work on this and other issues with the Washington Bus. Besides pursuing social justice through direct action organizing, Christina loves exploring everything from new cities to new restaurants. She is most happy when working-out, or wearing a particularly fierce pair of shoes and chronicles her adventures in her two blogs: The Restaurant Snob and My Style.
